This is our one minute film project. I had a ton of fun working with these fellows. We all put in the little time we had and made a funny joke come to life. If I could have done anything different I would have added voices to the ants he was killing and made some crazy sound effects with each splatted ant. I would have made the closing credit a lot more slower so people can get the joke. Over all both the Chris made this film hiliarious. They were gun-ho and we made it a success. I can't say I'm the best cinematographer but I think I did a great job shooting the film on my camera phone and editing it. Hope you enjoy class and Professor McCay. This film has been Rated R due to Violence and Language!
This project was interesting and fun to work on. Each of us contributed something different to the film. Chris and I contributed mainly to the story and Lee handled the directing and camera work. One of our biggest problems during shooting was establishing that the film was taking place inside of a church. We accomplished this by first filming Chris walking up to the door to the church on St. Charles (which was actually locked at the time) then cutting to the next shot to show Chris inside the chapel in Bobet. One thing that I learned in the shooting of the film is the importance of the actors knowing there lines. When I watch the film now, I see that I flub a couple of lines and even though I did not think of it as a big deal at the time, I can now see how distracting it is when an actor comes unprepared.
ReplyDeleteThis short film was a lot of fun to make. The plot comes from one of my favorite little Johnny jokes because it's technically a church joke. I have to say that Lee and Chris both did their parts well and ran with the idea we were little prepared for. Chris had the idea of making the joke look like a cheesy sitcom by adding the last drum part which was brilliant. Lee did a great job of tying the scenes together while shooting getting all the necessary shots to make it seem real and then did an awesome edit. If we had a little more time to have worked on this and better space to work in we could have gotten some priest robes and been in a real church. There are a whole slew of little Johnny jokes that we could have tied on to the end as well to make for the sitcom feel, but I think that the way way we did it worked pretty well.
ReplyDeleteExcellent comments and funny joke. CK looks promising as a priest.
